Well I bought it. L3400/LA463 loader. It will arrive at my house on about Apr 20th, as it is being shipped from Toronto. I purchased the 3ph Stabalizer Kit for $150 while I was there. It was one of the cheaper options, so I figure I could by it now. I don't really know what it is but I bought it anyway (sounded useful). Does anyone have any input on this item? I also found out that it comes with folding ROPS, which isn't stated in there documentation!

Congrats on your purchase. I think you'll be real satisfied. On the rear stabilizer, I'm not sure what that is. DO you know of a place on the internet where I can see optional equipment for our tractors? My 3400 has two turnbuckle type devices on the rear links that when tightened will prevent the linkage from swaying into the rear tires. I did not order this, it came on the tractor when I got it. There is one per side. ....

Here is a picture of the 3PH stabilizers on a L3400.
Each one consists of a drilled square tube/square bar and are used as rkleypas noted.
If you are going to change implements often, you might want look into the 'telescoping lower links' which allow a couple of inches of movement to aid the attachment of 3PH implements. Your Operators Manual should have more info.
Congratulations on your new tractor.

Zippy,
The picture wasn't too detailed but I'm sure that's what you bought too. My L3130 came with them and also the telescoping lower links, which I find very useful as I am not an expert at backing up, but I change 3PH implements too often!
Be sure to share your impressions of and experiences with your L3400
You'll love your new Kubota,

I am lucky, because I almost bought the B7800, but the night before, my Dad called with a flyer regarding the L3400 for a small amount more. I am so glad I found this model because every time I look at the B7800 it looks smaller and smaller. ....
